AUGUSTUS ASHLEY MAKES EARLY IMPACT AT UAM

MONTICELLO — Transfers come and go through the NCAA Division II ranks every season with extreme regularity. Many transfers have to get used to the speed of a higher level because most come from the junior college level.

RAIN CANCELS DERMOTT’S OPENER

During the last few weeks Dermott coach Andy Werb has learned everything he can about his team during practices. The only way to find out if the Rams can truly improve on last year’s 1-7 record is to play games. And that is going to have to wait at least another week. Because of heavy rains dumped on the area earlier this week Dermott’s season opener against Drew Central has been cancelled and there are no plans to make it up.
